Upgrade your existing starter's performance with a new SSDiesel ULTRA DUTY starter. These starters are stronger, faster and tougher! They are able to turn over your 6.5 under the harshest environments. They feature a 3.80:1 gear reduction and have 3.6hp and 260 ft/lbs of toirque!

Fits 6.5 Diesel Engines 92 to present day including all C/K trucks, Suburbans, Tahoes and Yukons, Vans, G/P cab/chassis trucks including school buses using the 6.5. Will also fit 6.2's. Will NOT fit H1 Hummers. Use p/n ssd-7124 for H1 Hummers also sold on this website.

I highly recommend replacing the starter bols at this time. Use ONLY the correct HD style with the knurled shank or starter damage will result. Do not use std bolts. The correct bolts with knurled shank are our p/n ssd-4955.

Make sure the rear support bracket is still there to be used. If missing or damaged, replace it. It is p/n ssd-2557
